David Diamond was appointed Interim Chief Operating Officer of Acute Care Alberta (ACA) on February 20, 2025, and is now serving as ACA’s Interim CEO. With a distinguished career spanning decades in healthcare leadership, he brings deep expertise in transformational system change, operations, and human resources. Over the past ten years, David led health services in Newfoundland, serving as President and CEO of Eastern Health from 2014 and later as CEO of the newly formed NL Health Services until his retirement in June 2024. His career began at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s and includes leadership roles with Capital Health and Alberta Health Services.
